PRIVATE NOTES

Keep the thought. Keep the changes.

Understand automatic saving, recover a browser draft and review competing edits.

Field guide

Let the save finish.

Give your note a title and start writing. Changes save after a short pause, while the status above the editor shows their progress. “All changes saved” confirms that the current changes reached your account. Save note finishes the current save and closes the editor.

The title, text and selected person or meeting belong together. Linking a note adds useful context; it does not share the note with that person or the meeting participants.

A draft stays with this tab.

An open editor can keep your changes when the connection drops. They remain a local draft until the service confirms the save. Reconnect to retry, or reopen the same note in the same browser tab to recover its draft. For a new note started from a person or meeting, return to that same person or meeting and open the note form again.

Recovery uses this device’s browser storage. It is not a second copy in your account, and an account export cannot include unsaved local text. Browser settings, clearing site data and closing or restoring tabs affect how long that copy remains available. If storage is unavailable, the editor explains the problem so you can copy your text before leaving.

Review a competing edit.

If another device saved a different revision, automatic saving pauses. Compare your local draft with the latest saved version, including the linked person and meeting. Then choose the saved version, keep your reviewed changes, or explicitly save a separate note. A further remote edit asks for another review.

A removed note is not silently recreated. When a local recovery copy is available, the editor lets you retrieve its text. Creating another note remains your choice.

Bring back earlier text.

Earlier versions shows previous saved note text. Review a version, then choose Apply text and autosave. If the text differs from the current note, it saves as a new revision. This restores the text only; it keeps the current title, person and meeting.

Attach a file to a saved note.

Once the note is saved, its Private attachments section accepts PDF, PNG, JPEG or UTF-8 text up to 24 MB per file, within your account storage allowance. Confirm that you have permission to store the file. An attachment belongs to this note and does not start AI processing. It is available as a private download, without an inline document preview.

File transfer needs a connection. If it pauses, reopen the note and select the original file to continue; a different file with the same name will not match. Closing the editor stops its transfer, and unfinished uploads expire after one day. Completed files stay until you remove the file, note or account. Saving a separate note or restoring earlier text does not copy or restore attachments.

Keep account changes clear.

Drafts belong to the account that created them. Signing out clears accessible local recovery copies. If a session expires, sign back into the same account to recover any retained draft. Another account does not inherit your private text.

Made for your world. Wherever that happens to be.
